My Book writing Journey

A blog about how I started writing my book and my journey to finish it.

Weekend in WI

For those of you that picture a February WI winter, you probably picture lots of snow, cold weather, snowmobiles zooming, Skiing and other typical snow related activities. Well this weekend was not that!

It was above 40 degrees both days and as any WI person will tell you, that is shorts weather. Ok, not quite but it is awfully nice for WI in February. So I took a break from being indoors working on my book and spent much of my weekend outside, even left my backdoor open for a bit.

Saturday I spent my day burning some cardboard from moving and building this year, burnt some scrap wood up. Took all 4 dogs for a walk in my driveway (really it was just around the shed that I am building). My dogs currently have about a half acre that is fenced in but enjoy getting out on their own once in a while and exploring the new smells that they don’t get in their pen. Only one of my dogs do I trust off a leash and that is because he is too lazy to run away. He would just as soon run back and jump on the couch to take a nap than he would go chase a squirrel through the woods. The other 3, as soon as they are loose, they are gone like the wind!

Sunday I was finally able to empty out my truck that was still full of stuff from moving out of storage. It wasn’t stuff I needed, but not having a back seat was getting old!

Now that I have the warm weather itch out of my system, it is back to writing. This weekend is supposed to be another nice weekend so maybe I will luck out and it will be nice enough for me to want to be outside again! Until then book writing here I go.

Hope everyone has a Happy Valentine’s Day, and if you are single like me, happy chocolate sale eve!
